PeacebyPickles: Simplicity is Key →
In about two months it will be the anniversary of the day of the accident of when Brandon passed away. For some reason, today of all Sundays, I had the strong desire to go visit him at the cemetery. As luck would have it, it turns out it’s memorial day weekend so I was driven off because I wanted…

Blue Ear →
I found this article, and it’s about a 4 year old boy named Anthony. He was born with some complications, most notably his right ear is deaf, and has hearing damage in his left ear. His mom got him a blue hearing aid that has gotten him talk more and be able to learn better. However a few weeks ago Anthony stopped using his hearing aid because “superheroes don’t wear hearing aids.” His mom didn’t know what to do, and as a long shot she decided to write the people at Marvel. This letter actually got to Marvel, and the team sent him comic books of Hawkeye, and personal drawings of Anthony and Hawkeye. They chose Hawkeye because in a comic book in the 80’s he lost 80% of his hearing and had to use hearing aids. The Marvel team also made a new superhero just for Anthony named Big Blue, who fought crime with his super hearing.
This is one of the most heart warming stories I have seen in a long time. To see these guys go out of their way to help a kid that they don’t even know is phenomenal. It’s something that we hardly ever see anymore in society, so I thought I would highlight it for you guys. I hope it put a smile on your face because it certainly put a smile on mine.

El Updateo on El Lifeo
These past couple of weeks have flown by for me, and a lot has come and gone very quickly. I wish I could have had the time to take it all in, but the best I can do is write about it on here so I can reminisce on it someday.
The biggest thing that’s happened to me was high school graduation. Now, honestly it’s not a big deal. It’s just another step forward. Nonetheless, it is a thing, and is a big deal to some people. I’m proud of everyone who graduated, and the best of luck to you in the future.
Second thing is summer (obviously). I’m glad to have this time off to lay back and get a sense of what I want to do in life. I don’t want to decide on what I want to do in life yet, but I’d like to have a good idea of what I’d like to do before I start college. Then again, a lot of people have told me they didn’t know what they wanted to do until they took a certain class or an awesome internship. So I dont really know I guess. Part of me wants to have a general direction, and part of me says it’ll happen when it happens. Either way, I’m excited for the future.
Tonight I found a bunny just sitting in the middle of the road, and no one around my neighborhood claims that it’s theirs. So yeah, if you lost a bunny, or want a bunny, call me. Cause this bunny needs a home.
I’ve been having the time to watch movies again, and I love it. I feel like a part of me has been missing for so long, and I’m glad I found it. I’m in love with the whole industry. I love the acting and the editing and the cinematography. I love the directing a producing and just… Everything. I think you get the point. If you guys want to start like a movie club or something, that’d be really cool.
I heard a quote the other day that was really fitting. “most of life is just showing up to the party” I just want to encourage you guys to just go do it if you think you might be interested in it. I know it’s really hard to do, you over think things, you say it’s not worth it, you’re worried about what other people would think about you. I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. If you love it, do it. Don’t be stuck with some career that you hate because you were too afraid to try new things. Just show up to the party. Who knows, maybe you’ll find something you love.
That’s it. Random, unrelated thoughts. Pretty much sums up these last couple weeks. Congratulations to everyone graduating this year, wether it’s high school, college, or something else. You deserve this moment, be proud of your accomplishment. Also I want to thank my high school graduating class of 2012. You guys put up with my cheesy jokes and general sarcasm, and still managed to be friendly to me. You guys rock, and I love yo faces.
